Jazz Trio paired with Haiku poetry
Juilliard full-scholarship Artist Diploma graduate Yasushi Nakamura is performing tunes from his new trio album 'Hometown', paired with classic literature & original works recitation by The Haiku Guys. Audience members will receive customized Haiku - personalized short poem, after the musical performance as well.
Soireé will be held at a penthouse in Chelsea.

When not touring as a featured vocalist alongside her father, the legendary Bobby McFerrin, Madison McFerrin is busy making a name for herself and has quickly become a force to be reckoned with in the contemporary music scene, infusing old-school soul into the complexity of modern jazz with ease. With only a loop machine, a microphone, and a hypnotizing voice - be ready to get blown away by her astounding talent.
The event will be held at a boutique gallery on Upper East Side with artworks and decór by Mackenzie-Childs, where artist Andy Warhol used to hold his early exhibitions in the 50s.

In early celebration of Mother's Day, pianist Junko Ichikawa and colleagues presented Johannes Brahms' Horn Trio, written when he was thirty-two in commemoration of his mother, along with other compositions honoring motherhood, including Junko's teacher Seymour Bernstein's, and works by international composers.
