One-woman A cappella soul-jazz salon
When not touring as a featured vocalist alongside her father, the legendary Bobby McFerrin, Madison McFerrin is busy making a name for herself and has quickly become a force to be reckoned with in the contemporary music scene, infusing old-school soul into the complexity of modern jazz with ease. Recently featured at The Blue Note and Jazz @ Lincoln Centre, Madison is joining The Q for an intimate soirée- with only a loop machine, a microphone, and a hypnotizing voice - be ready to get blown away by her astounding talent, with original works from her album Finding Foundations.
The event will be held at a boutique gallery on Upper East Side with artworks and decór by Mackenzie-Childs, where artist Andy Warhol used to hold his early exhibitions in the 50s.
Food pairing reception to follow - hor d'oeuvres inspired by Warhol's love of American industrial food, prepared by Osmanthus NYC.
